The only time i've Had surge problems was when I was driving it home from getting it and on the interstate, passing cars and entering boost in 5th gear I saw a little surge. I think the greddy Type S bov that came with the car might also have something to do with the surge. Daily driving I don't have surge. You guys think upgrading to the 84mm housing will be that much of a benefit or should I just spend the money on other mods?

i honestly dont think it is a big enuf benefit to upgrade to a bigger housing. i mean you punching it in 5th isnt really the best thing to do in the first place so if you have no problems then i would go with other mods. RYU on here used the 64mm housing with no problem and was going 10.3. So really whichever red turbo you got i would stick with and get something else.

It will not be that crazy! lol I won't go over 36psi. We will just see what happens. We will just have to wait and see what the car will do. I have have more mods that MW and I have a larger motor. He thinks I will beat it.

Yup.

The way it was explained to me was - the "84mm housing" is basicly a tiny boost leak right at the compressor housing to help prevent surge.
