i got the idea from the p&l motorsports 9 second STi, i love it i feel like it's guna be so easy/fun to rip gears with it..

I've had a hurst knock off just like this in a different car. It's fun, but I ended up still using the top of it just like I do with every other shift knob.
Would make for a badass piece though.

Might as well get a 1990 Eclipse GST/GSX shift knob. The knob will make the throw feel longer. I think it was called Pistol Grip or something like that.
Anybody remember those?

 

I dont know. I think that knob is going to increase mis-shifting.

I had one of those in my 90 tsiawd. We in the DSMworld called them horsedick shifters.

 

The pistol grip shift knobs have been around forever. My Advance Auto sells them in the "performance" isle. Personally, I don't like them. Evo8emUp has it right. If you want something similar that will function better, get a DSM weighted shift knob. They work great.

To each their own, but that thing looks at home in a 70's muscle car, not so much a newer import. But like I said, your car, you do what you want.

 

I still rock the ***** shifter in my 92 TSI

 

Not my favorite but the video was fun to watch.

 

Wonder why he kept wiggling the shifter? It's either in neutral or it isn't. Guess that kinda thing annoys me. The car went like stink though!
