A proper tune, that way at WOT, the AFR will be correct.

I put the car on a lift and drove the car on the lift in first It seemed fine till fourth gear then it started bogging again as if there was a load on the engine or a strain. but on the ground it starts bogging right away when on throttle. I hear no knocks from the engine what so ever and rev it up and the BOV goes off its holding boost fine.

I buy evos off auctions frequently and when an evo owner (for whatever reason) is forced to put their car in an auction, they feel the need to take aftermarket parts or maybe try and screw their bank lol. anyways. Post a log and your map on here and some1 will be around to help you out.
This one was hit in the quarter panel and the front but it didn't go all the way towards the radiator. the Front mount was a little bent i replaced it. I picked this one 8500 shipped with all fees and everything 05 with 55k good or bad?

That's what I figured but I just wanted to make sure. Sorry Boostinbird, didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Ill see if i can post up a video on here by monday! but I dont see why the engine could be knocking the car. When i start the car and rev it in neutral there is no knock in the motor.

Have you done a leakdown / boost leak test?

Its not going to do it as bad when its on a lift bc the car is going to be under any load. Probably the reason it did it in 4th is bc it finally reached a high enough gear that it put the car under a little bit of load and caused it to do it. I don't think you'll be able to hear the knocking that your knock sensors are going to pick up. Its not going to be like you bent a rod or something. Anyways. Download evoscan, get a tactrix cable and post your results or email them. In the mean time stay out of boost or your going to be hearing more than just your bov.

^ your right though the car only bogs when its under load! I changed the spark plugs today and drained the old gas and put octane booster still nothing. no boost leaks what so ever. and the engine is not throwing off any codes. Only when i floor it and past certain RPM the car starts bogging when under load. The exhaust just starts backfiring and popping! So I'm guessing the Car prob isn't tuned right or my catalytic converter might be bad? I still highly doubt the engine is knocking. the car wasn't hit too badly from the front when i bought it. the major collision was the quarterpanel it was bashed in.

You need to find someone in your area with a tactrix cable and datalog the car, you will probably want to change your plugs before datalogging. You will also need a wideband.

Sounds like plugs. Probably an untuned Evo running rich. If you bought it at 55k then theres a good chance the plugs weren't changed. They can be black from being old too. You should try the plugs first since its easy then go for a tune to see what's really going on.

If you're running rich, it could be because of a boost leak. Metered air is escaping, you'll be running far more rich than your motor suspects (if a boost leak is present of course). If you're lazy like I am and don't want to make a boost leak tester, PPI offers a very nice piece.
