So I'm guessing the Car prob isn't tuned right or my catalytic converter might be bad? I still highly doubt the engine is knocking. the car wasn't hit too badly from the front when i bought it. the major collision was the quarterpanel it was bashed in.

I'm not saying your engine is "knocking" in a sense that it is blown up. I'm saying that your knock sensors (a highly modified piece of equipment from Mitsubishi) is picking on "knocks" that any human being (besides superman) can hear. This is where a laptop, tactrix cable and evoscan come in handy. I HIGHLY doubt that your catalytic converter is the cause of your problem. The problem is the last person that tampered with your ecu and now your ecu is trying to fix itself by pulling timing. This is the reason for the power loss. And when knock and timing and afr and whatever else gets out of whack this is when you'll experience these problems.

Hope this helps. This is just my 2 cents.

Any luck with your bogging problem? I still have yet to figure out whats wrong with it. I might just end up taking it to a performance shop. MDR Performance in Keemah, TX

I finally took the car to the dealer and found out what was wrong with the car. The dealer said the turbo outlet fitting was bent. who knew that could make the car bog that bad. they charged me 100 bucks for the diagnostic. I wasted freaking 3 wks trying to figure out what was wrong. waste of Time and money!

it still needs a tune because the car is knocking. i could guarantee that is the problem, not just a bent fitting which i dont know what fitting youre talking about. get the car tuned, otherwise youre wasting your time which you couldve gotten that done 3 weeks ago also
