Vinyl wrapping is nice if u like the flat black look, and it also preserves the hell out of ur original paint.

My wife does vinyl work. She says for an average vehicle you can expect to pay around $3K with it professionally installed.

you guys DO realize that you can create moisture bewteen wrap and your paint and you get rust...if water somehow finds its way through a hole or something then moist will build which leads to rust. The ORIGINAL idea of car wraping is used for business vehicles, i have it in a cpl of my business trucks (where yu can display phone number, cool pics, and adress), but now people are willing to do anything to make money so they offer to wrap any car.

thats true, but for that money you can repaint the whole car and get it sandblasted and get a cpl or more clear coats

I believe there was someone else on here who had his evo wrapped in flat black vinyl....until I read further (looked at pics first!!) I had no idea it was wrapped. it looked sick!

Maybe at Maaco. You might get a scuff and shoot for that but, you aren't going to find someone to strip your car to the level to sandblast it and lay down a quality paint job for that.

That's the difference between a quality wrap and cheap wrap (crap for short). It's no different than a good paint job and one where they don't spray the jams, engine bay, remove the glass, etc... You get what you pay for.
