i agree with you, as i said in the other thread about this. I also suggested those very names to RP on their facebook. That said, I wouldn't mind repping the forum if i'm paired against an equally modded STi. I'm confident that i'd put on a good show.

 

 

i figure u would do better than me since u have tons more experience than i do autox etc... lol plus it would be for a good cause

psssh, whatever random man. everybody that knows me loves me. even if some random forum folk don't, that's irrelevant. whether you like me or not isn't the point. I can drive the wheels off my EVO, and against a similarly equipped STi, I'd do quite well. I know from experience, and i'd do a damn good job reppin' EVOM. I wouldn't want to go unless others didn't. I suggested gates, nils, and a few others to RP in the letter I sent them.

 

Lets consider Evom here. My question is, will Evom take any responsibility for anything that happens. When you compare it to vendors who sent race-prepped cars to races and loose, thats a different thing. Racing involves loosing, not everyone wins. Thats that. But this forum war things is different. Evom take no responsibility for anything that happens here...nor have they expressed the interest in sponsoring anyone who wants to participate. In addition, what do any of the participants get for representing Evom? Would you do it if Evom members choose you, knowing that if you crash, we dont know send you money to fix yoru car? Honestly...this isn't panning out very well imo.

 

IB (owners of EvoM) is taking responsibility and always has. Forum Wars has not come to the Staff, they might have approached IB (who runs a ton of forums). The person gets to run for pride and representing the site - thats enough for me. Beyond that, normal race rules apply. You crash, you fix it.

Why dont we just nominate Gates and send him on his way to represent the community? After all it should be a forum vote on who we want to represent us. There could be a 5 person choice and we could all vote on who should be the one to represent EvoM.

 

Thanks, but I would not be a good candidate. I have great social skills and onsite manner, but that's about it! lol. Driving is sub-par!
