I meant the road tune was paid for by the previous owner

I would recommend that you have someone who is experienced with the Evo check it over, do a boost leak test and then get a good tune. Yes, installing the tubular manifold and larger FMIC can cause what feels like lag until you get a good tune. You did the LICP also correct?

This, I would take it to a reliable tuner ASAP.

get it tuned, and adjust your shifting to accommodate the power band. i used to think the EVO had terrible turbo lag because it was my first turbo car and i was used to NA cars that made power at 1000 rpm. didn't take long to realize I needed to keep it above 2500 rpm for it to feel normal.

From what I understand the tune you're running is for the old set up before you had these mods installed? If that's the case, I would get to a tuner immediately or get some logging done and do an email tune. Also, what PSI and boost controller are you running? You could have the boost controller set too low and the wastegate may just be getting pushed open at higher RPM. Making it feel like it's taking forever to spool.

If this is your first turbo car then such things as turbo lag is normal.
I've never been in a car with a green but I can't imagine it spools that late... 35r's spool @ 5k, not Fp Green's.

Get your car to a reputable tuner in your area and get it looked over, its far from where it should be.

why is it that everyone thinks that if someone self tunes their car that its a crappy tune? ive seen some crappy tunes from reputable tuners from this board and wouldnt trust any of them to touch any of my maps again.

it does sound like you need a better tune though since you said it doesnt feel right

I am going to suggest a boost leak test before going to the dyno, this could be part of the problem...does boost drop off quickly after it reaches full boost? I just had this problem.

the car doesnt drop boost at all, its just that the turbo hits full boost a lot later than what i was expecting and what the reviews say about the fp greens....
but just for safety reasons ill run a boost leak test when i go to get the tune.
