mods no dyno tune= very noticeable lag?
Check the preload on the waste gate actuator. I hate how everyone just blames any issue on the tune. Yes the tune will effect spool but not what you are describing. My guess is the wastgate is hanging open a bit.
I just got my car dyno tuned at UMS Tuning and my car is running 200% better, boost response is perfect, i am spooling almost identical to stock turbo but with a lot of power, and i did have the tuner check out the wastegate actuator and it was loose and a part was bent, for right now the shop fixed the actuator and i am running with the one i have until the new actuator i ordered from FP arrives and my tune will be finished
Dyno sheets are showing previously that psi was around 10 at 4k rpm and now my psi is up to 21 at 4k rpm =] tune and checking the wastegate actuator have solved my lag problem=]

Without a good tunner. All the money spent on performance parts will go to waste. I have two friends with stock evo 9's who had there cars tuned recently br Gregory from MGW. The first one made 280hp at 25lbs of boost with just and Exhaust upgrade. We turned the boost down to 23 lbs and the final tune yield 344 hp with 330 Torque. Less boost and 60hp more.
The second car made 265hp with 276 torque. at the same 21lbs that moved to 330hp with 335 troque. ie a good tune is a must.

no lift **** is pretty much the best thing ever invented to mankind.
you mash the pedal to the floor, run that gear till your going to change to the next, keep the pedal mashed to the floor, push in clutch, computer sets rpm to 4500ish so you have perfect rev match into next gear, then let out clutch and your ****ing goneeeeee dude! never let off the gas, no lag hardly at all and your boostin the whole time

+10 An Fp green should hit full boost by about 4100 rpm, 5 grand full boost? Something is not right.
