how do i fix my carbon fiber wing

i dont have a garage, so my car sits out in the sun alot, and my wing has faded badly. there are white spots on it where the clearcoat has just bleached out, and there are big holes where teh cleat coat is actually gone. i know this is a pritty common problem so my question is how do i fix it? do i just get it re-clear coated?

That is correct, you need to have it re-clear coated.

^+1 I would take it to a shop, seen some people try to "DIY" and gone horribly wrong. Unless you have the experience.

Yup, the shop will sand it down and simply reclear it.

I actually had my wing replaced by mitsu years ago. The first and the last time a mitsu dealer ever touched my car. They ended up scratching the **** out of my trunk and when I said something about that I was told I was lucky to get it replaced

They ordered it from the factory and it came in white, sent it out to a local bodyshop for paint and it's been fab ever since.

Why the heck would someone waste money like that when you can have it sanded and recleared for a small fraction of the cost.

I redid my own wing and it came out looking amazing. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference

Do a search on here, there are a few fantastic older threads with guys showing pics and explaining exactly how to fix the wing, which is basically sand, clear coat, and buff

Yes I did forget to mention the payoff for a DIY is great if done correctly, For me I'm afraid of sanding through the CF since my clear is fading on the lower layers.
