yeah something is definitely wrong. the evo isnt known for its gas mileage by any means, but you should be getting AT LEAST 200 a tank, even with some pretty aggressive driving.

when you hit boost does the car still feel like its pulling good? WHen mine went i could notice the difference. Thats he only real difference i felt really until it was really gone then i would just have trouble getting up to speed lol

i got like 80-120mpg per full tank when my clutch was slipping

that made me laugh... anyways tanman i honestly think it maybe your clutch because if you say your completely stock, not on boost too much, and drive normally you should get more then 100, alot more. I had the same experience completely stock, and bad gas milage= bad clutch. but i am no means a professional, just my .02 GL man

ya but if he is driving it like a ***** cat like he said he was, clutch isnt sliping. my guess is he bought a car with modifications at some point, put back to stock and tune was left in it, so its fat as hell.

as far as the mileage quotes I made earlier were for reference clown, not trying to not be helpful, just making a point.

when you bag it are you looking like a diesel cummings with all the black smoke?

i guess that could be it, but i dont think the tune with stock parts is gonna drag him down to 100mpg.. i had the same problem my clutch was going and i drove it pretty normal not boost, and i would get horrible gas milage, added along to that terrible gas mileage my car wouldnt pull strong like it used to before my clutch went in boost, so i have stated that it could be his clutch, not sure though.

If his o2 sensor was bad wouldn't he be throwing a code for it? Have you replaced your spark plugs? How many miles are on the car? Sorry if these topics have been covered but I was tired of reading about everyone's gas mileage on this post.

I'd say try and get your ECU flashed either back to stock or a tune. Are your injectors stock? Fuel Pump?

I did have an EGR out for over a year on my IX and I still had decent MPG soooo.... Clutch causing bad MPG? I don't think so either....

Couldnt be a bad clutch, RMPs would still climb but the car wouldnt go anywhere if it was a bad clutch and the car doesnt do that, the car just goes and then just falls flat on it face when i go WOT. I just bough some new plugs but i have not put them in yet because im in new york untill monday and no it doesnt smoke like a diesel cummings with all the black smoke. I could be a bad MAF or plugs or o2. Here are some pics of the MAF plug in that i found very interasting, look at this ****!! The clip that the main wire hooks up to is missing and the main wire clip was just hangging on there, wtf? car still runs fine untill i go wot? it will run fine at 0 to 90% throttle but if i go 100% or past 15lbs of boost it falls flat on its face
