How Mitsubishi is your Evo?

Most of us on this forum have modified Evo's so what percentage of stock Mitsubishi parts would you say your evo has? My reason for this question is because most people say Mitsubishi FTW or something along those lines but lots of the parts on your car are likely not Mitsubishi or Mitsubishi spec (stock) if you're making gobs of power.

Guestimate your percentage and then provide a power level.

I'd say a good 35-40% of my car is no longer Mitsubishi spec, and even less will be Mitsu come the end of this year when Shep comes out with the 6-speed stuff.

I feel most people probably praise Mitsu for setting the stage for the Evo's, we have a great platform to work with. Stock the cars are great still, lots of quality parts in em for the most part. 4g63, the 16g...well, not the trans really but still lol.

A lot of parts that came stock are not made by Mitsubishi at all. What kind of question is that?

He said or mitsu spec (stock) so he didnt mean everything was mitsu. Obviously the recaros arent Mitsu, bilstein, etc.

OEM quality is tried and tested, which is why many resort back to it.... but it doesn't mean it is the best. Keep in mind OEM quality also has some cost involved... if it didnt' your evo could easily cost $60k because of the low volume to amortize over....

a better question is how many different evos did it take to make your evo. My car has a crank from a dif car, tranny, transfer case, axles, suspension, exhaust, turbo manifold the list continues haha. It is my original block and head tho.

they are great cars because if you start with a sock one you can do many upgrades to them and make great power before having to tear into to internals. i cant say that for many other cars such as subaru's ha. but yeah the trannys can hold alot of power but just not for a long period of time. and there baller status interior is very nice. 35% stock i would say for mine i think.
