I don't know about the whole royal purple being the best thing but, it sounds like it could be a nice car. Seems like he's got pretty basic mods that are fairly well thought out. Pics?

I agree with previous post on the royal purple, but I would be more interested in the tune and boost level etc. rather than the aftermarket components. You can always replace those, but you dont want to buy something that has seen a lot of wear and tear.

Well, the only way left to tell is to either hook it up to a computer and check it out and drive it yourself to see how the car runs mechanically.

Im not exactly sure what i should be looking for when driving it? I was also thinking to take it to a mitshibushi dealership and have them inspect the car for any issues. You think this is a good idea?

Take it to a dealer and it will cost you $ and you lose the warranty if there is one.

Look for the following while driving:
acceleration (should be smooth and not jumpy)
idle (smooth)
brakes (no grinds, small squeaks are ok)
engine knock (knock knock)
electrical issues (power outages or sparks)
shifter grind (when changing gears)
engine sound (no leaking of anything)
exhaust fumes (should be clear no smoke)
smell of cabin (while running, no smell)

The list goes on and on, but if anything is wrong these are dead give aways there is a potential problem. Also find out what the power and tq was from the dyno sheet, if it says 400hp then it should feel like 400hp otherwise there could be something else going on.

I know for a fact there is no warrenty left on the car becasue I ran carfax on it. I have limmited knowledge on cars and was thinking my best route is to take it to the dealership. The Key is for my dad to think its a good buy and im thinking the best way is to take it to the dealership.

Then first thing is first, tell your dad that it checks out, then get the money. Then find out for sure if it works right and purchase if it doesn't, just tell the seller no and then say you figured you will look at a few more first...lol.

I would take it to reputable shop to be checked out over a dealership. Depending where it's at in PA CBRD may be a good option.

LOL, just a joke in response to your comment about convinsing your dad. I guess engineers are only good for mechanical work otherwise we just confuse people...haha jk.

Why do you recommend this over the dealership? but I checked it out and its a 3 and half hour trip. (opposite sides of PA) so its a little out of the question
