Pay a visit to sparkplugs.com and read up. They have everything you want there. Go 1 step colder for every hundred hp you increase by.

For an Evo 8 BR7ES/BR8ES are the proper plugs. Some use BPR7ES/BPR8ES.

IW22/IW24 are the iridiums you'd want. For mild mods 7 or IW22 heat range. A bit wilder and you'd want a 8 or IW24 heat range. .026 is a safe gap to start with.

If you plan to get tuned, ask the tuner what he recommends.

Stock setups go with bpr6es, 7's and 8's from there, stock gap should be fine.

You really shouldn't need anything colder for quite a while.

On E85 on both sotck turb oand BBK full I had to Denso IKH22 (1 step colder) because I kept breaking up under high boost/high rpm. Before i go black the ignition system is getting upgraded.
