Steering Wheel Solutions

The leather on my steering wheel is starting to deteriorate and I'm looking for a way to fix that. After lurking around a bit I found this thread:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...alcantara.html

I'm not sure how well it will hold up, but has anyone else tried this or something different to resolve this?

Have you tried looking for another OEM or aftermarket wheel?

it doesnt seem like it would hold up more than a couple months, thats what they are saying on that thread. and for the money to wrap it with real alcantara, it would not be worth it

I have my wheel wraped in alcantara or something like it, yes it fades a bit over time, but I've had it or a while now, probably 5k miles and it's still looking good, also if you drive with alcantara gloves it helps keep it looking like new.... pics to follow...

I would replace it with another EVO VIII or IX steering wheel. They are pretty common in the classifieds and you can find one that isnt peeling at all either.
