You really dont need lowjack, all you need is a good alarm system with the works.

I had an alarm with digital tilt sensor, back up batt, shock sensor, and indoor motion sensor. The one I used was Viper 5901, great alarm and great range distance with it.

I helped one of my best friends swap a type r motor into his EM1 SI, did suspension work, etc.

He had the same alarm with you with the works.

He heard his car start and drive down Lincoln Ave. (skokie) while he looked out the window. His two way Viper FOB showed it still being locked.

If they want it they will get it.

I have seen more of my friends car stolen then I care to remember.

Point is, if they want it, THEY WILL GET IT.

Best bet is to layer the car with security, hoping they get sick of trying, or to buy you enough time to catch em.

^^I dont disagree with you, what I meant was I thought that type of alarm was thief proof. I know that a thief will take it no matter what if he really wants it. You can buy the by-pass module for ANY car online.

I don't even know if I want to bother with another Evo if I get the insurance money. It doesn't seem worth it. Mine was the first taken from a LOCKED garage. Everything else was parked outside.

They already know the area where my car is. I'm getting better locks put on the garage door now as well as motion sensor lights. I am contemplating getting a camera as well.

We are getting targeted in the area.
