UICP Blowing OFF

I am running into this probelm all of the sudden. My stock UICP keeps blowing off the intake mainfold when I start to boost. I don't get it I've never had that problem before even under hard driving. And yes I re-tightened the clamp down. This is probably a stupid question but I'm guessing I just need heavy duty clamps for the UICP....

The hose connected the the throttle body seems to come off more than any other. T bolt clamps are the solution.

Yes, and if you don't want to buy a new clamp you can try using hairspray. I'd just get the t-bolt clamp though, they look much better than the worm clamps.

To prevent hoses from coming loose use T-Bolt clamps. Some even have a tensioning spring to maintain a tension preload on the connection. Either T-Bolt or Spring Tension clamps will usually stay on to the point the hose will blow out before they come off.

the worm gears get stripped. They only get really tight once lol, then repeated tightening loosening wears them out. i assume you are using the factory coupler but on sillicone couplers I like to put armor all on them as a lubricant, this allows the clamp to slide freely around the hose and tighten more evenly. hairspray helps for sure tho but only on the inside of the coupler

Everyone is right. T-bolts are the way to go, and make sure that there is an equal amount of coupler on the uicp and throttle body. If the uicp is taking up too much space inside the coupler, there may not be enough left for the throttle body. Adjust it so that each side is equal.

t bolt are great, but there's no need. Just as long as you tighten it properly, regular clamps work fine. To the OP, just make sure all hose, pipe fit real good before tighten it down.

your coupler might be too short. I ran regular clamps with 35 psi boost, never blow off .

Yeah...that's not good advice.

Get the t-bolt clamps and call it a day.
