My dealer is getting two EVO's do not know options, do not know color. I am the only person that has asked about the car, so I get to pick between the two (#1 on the "list" no depost). If I pass then both cars are being sold to another dealer for the highest bid. That is one reason some dealers are asking for a non refundable depost. And for all I know the owner of the dealership has already sold the cars, but they will be getting more.
Mike, did the dealer let you know what is the MSRP? I leaning toward the Evo but I recently heard that Subaru will come out with the Sti version of the WRX. Not sure how much that cost. If it comes down to a better price, i mite choose either one. If anyone know what may be the cost for both Sti WRX and the Evo 8, could you post it. Thanks again
Just want to let everyone know that if you don't have money down and/or not in writing your not guarantee the car. My neighbors are both car dealership owners. They tell me some tricks they do. Many dealership doesn't want to be locked in on the car which they don't know anything about. If it's a hot item like s2000 there is a lot of room for dealer markup and they are just waiting what they are marking up. If they claim that they are selling it at msrp tell them to put it on paper and promise to sell it to you. They probably wouldn't do it, which means dealer markup.
trade yours in then
but if you got a lancer you might not be able to afford an EVO cause they're in totally different price classes.....a loaded OZ being around 15-17 (god forbid)
and the evo being 30 at least in the US

aiight heres the question for anyone... " if i walk into a dealership when the evo8 is out... and i see that the prices.. are in the upper 31.. can i rightfully tell the owner that i want to buy that at MSRP value paying all in cash.. or do i still have to pay for that car at whichever markup price the dealer put it at?
