i dont understand the GDB/GRB sti references, why cant everyone just state what year they are talking about?

personally i would stick with the car you have, it will cost less down the road since the car you have now is already modified and can still make you happy

The only thing that I would trade my VIII for would be a IX. I say keep the car.

Because models can span years or change in the middle of a production run.,

I've never owned a STi. I wanted one (a white 97) and then the GRB's came out and I feel in love (I am a hatchback guy at heart) but I couldn't justify spending 30k plus in cash on a car.

The Evo IV is a classic, I would keep and get something else.

I am in the same boat with my VIII. I am on the brink of selling mine very soon actually. I am positive my next car will be an STi. Similar cars but the STi is a little bit easier on the street. As far as driving experience, the EVO is definitely way more raw than any subaru.
