I was one of the lucky few to have my transfer case die on the highway....evo locked up and it sucked... I mean the tow truck literally had to drag my evo up the ramp...sucked... Its pretty expensive to buy another one too.

I would say walk away, evo's are plentiful in the used department, and you can find a lot of them for a good deal. Dont start off on a bad note!
