OEM Headgasket or aftermarket????

Here is the main link to what's going on with my car.

http://www.evomn.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5854

HP is 400 and torque is the same. Running BC 272 cams, Fp green (old school) E85 and the rest of the standard bolt ons. Some people say "stick with the oem gasket and others say aftermarket like Cometic. I need to be prepared prior to going to the shop on what kind of parts I want to install. Also since this is more than likely the HG I am going to get the timing belt, water pump and tensioner pully done as weel. The engine will be apart and my shop is not charging me labor on the latter because of the head gasket work. Please let me know what you fellas think. I value all of your opinions here. Best regards, Rick

I think almost every vendor on here making big power still recommends the OEM headgasket...

Thanks for the info fellas. I truly appreciate it a lot! Now I am opting for the L19's for my head studs. My shop is telling me they are 220.00 Anyone have any info on that price??? Seems pretty steep for some small studs!??

That price is pretty legit, see if they will give you a combo deal if you buy the OEM gasket from them too.
