You shouldn't have driven the car at all with the pipe blown off. And you think it was running lean? You said it was blowing tons of black smoke. That means it was running insanely rich.

Don't get me wrong, I half-*** plenty but you have to know when and where.

Ok, so here is the scoop. I dropped the car off at FFTEC earlier this week. I got a call yesterday from them and here are the issues it was having. One broken lifter, a clogged catalytic converter, and a blown head gasket. He said the cat is literally falling apart on the inside, so I'm replacing it with a test pipe.

Why there was never any white smoke, and why the compression test didn't pick up the blown head gasket, I have no idea...I'm suprised the car even ran for this long in the condition it was in. I'm just glad it is finally going to be over with.

The good news is, my car will probably be done/tuned on monday and I will have my car back with almost full bolt-ons, including an FP black and ported cylinder head (intake manifold and TB still stock). :-)
