My IX has a VIII front. When I got the car it was completely debadged. I put the Evolution MR badge back but wanted to either put the Black UK Evolution IX badging, Red Vinyl over Stock Diamond badge, or Black/Carbon Fiber Diamond logo on the rear.

My question is, is it weird to put IX badging when it looks like a VIII? And or, if I want to add badging to the rear, what should I go with?

 

Why would you put an ugly VIII nose on a IX?

 

The previous owner had messed up the bumper, and put the 8 bumper on.

 

I for one am looking for a ww VIII bumper to swap out my IX bumper. I like the bigger opening for the intercooler. I would do a nose chop quick, and throw a nice carbon fiber lip on the VIII bumper, and then it will look great.

 

Im thinking about a front lip spoiler. But the question remains, about the badging on the back!!

 

I'd say badge it like it is, its a 9 badge it a 9!

Put the UK IX badge on it. You pop the hood and its clear as day its a IX. People would see the IX heads and tails, then the seats. Mivec on the valve cover. Badge it what it is brother.

 

my valve cover doesnt say mivec and i drive a IX

 

really, thats weird. They should all have mivec on them for the IX's.

 

i agree; badge it what it is. badging it an viii would be like those non type r integra guys with the type r lip and wing badging theirs type r.

so you are saying that evo9 is the "type R" of evos??? type r integras were rare because so many were brought to US, where as evo 8 and 9 are brought with thousands so bad comparison......i say badge the car whatever it is supposed to be, and evo8 bumper ftw, evo9 bumper ugly/small opening
