the other day when going to tighten my wing i noticed their was two wire doing up and into my trunk. One is the wire for when you pull the trunk release but the other is just a wire with a white connector on it that goes to nothing anybody have any idea what this is. thanks

not its an elctrical wire with a white conector on it its next to the trunk release in the body of the lid could it before a trunk popper perhaps

 

It sounds more like the trunk lamp trigger that should be located on the truck latch .

 

It's to turnnthe trunk light ONI remember from when I put my carbon fiber trunk on

 

If its not connected to anything, and you're sure its from the factory that way, it could be for the third brake light. the regular lancer has that tri-post wing with a brake light in the center post. that may be for it.
If you want to go with my theory, put a 12v test light to it, and see if it lights when you either turn on your driving lights or hit the brake.

You pull that white handle when you're being kidnapped and tossed in your own trunk.

Also I just realized my Evo doesn't have this. I bought it used. Maybe someone was kidnapped in it?
