idle fluctuation after resetting ecu.

Hello ,
just a week ago I pulled out the battery to replace the shifter bushings , and
put back the oem bov.
After the battery was put back I went for a drive to have the ecu relearn.
normally it would idle bad for a few minute than return to regular idle(500rpm)
For some reason the idle would fluctuate while stoping at the stoplight , I thought
the car was going to stall but it didn't.

any ideas where to look?.

you have to let the ECU relearn the trims in all three trim states: LTFT low, LTFT mid, LTFT high. low is generally considered the idle trim with mid the cruise trim. If you didn't let it idle for about 15-20 minutes after reconnecting the battery it may not have had enough "cycles" for the idle trim to settle out to a steady state. This may be causing the poor idle when you come to a stop. But I'm also not the tuner, I'm the engine builder/mechanic/sales/parts warehouse/tool guru so don't really pay me much attention. LOL j/k

Let it idle...

following these steps, 5min each:

1) no electrical thing turned on
2) a/c and radio
3) a/c, radio, lights, rear defogger

succesfully tried and tested, so the ecu can learn it various idle loads (that's my conclusion).

please, report back your results.
