We got screwd

: shoot:

I am sorry to say this to some of you guys, but some of EVO owners got F***ked, why because some other EVO owners went drag racing burning the hell offf the car and ASKING FOR WARRANTY REPAIR. That made Mitsu so lost about warranty that they are refusing to fix any part in any EVO. People EVO IS NOT FOR DRAG RACING. Its a track rally car. You want to drag it change the clutch and handle the fu**k bill, I mean you screwed and lunched the car @ 6000 RPM then pay for it don’t expect the Mitsu to pay for something you screwed. I don’t know but I am lost, I love my EVO and we all do but they don’t have Warranty anymore because they believe we drag race them not some of us but all. Guys be serious if you f**k your car and you know it be responsible because this left no room for the poor EVO owners that treated their EVO the best way and know how to race them. Don’t understand me wrong, I race but I use my head not my AS* when I do. But I will never drag an EVO before I change my clutch. Sorry, but we got screwed

about the 2 Fast guy, I speak 4 languages so when you do come and talk to me, second it came becuase I took my EVO to 2 Dealer about my brakes which they know I had problems with them from first day and they still dont want to fix them. They are warraped and I did not even push hard on them?? So all I need is people to be serious and stand up like a man and say yes i did screw up my car. I drag it.

Why don't you try to master one language first, then work on the other three?

If you have not done nothing wrong to the brakes, call up Mitsubishi corporate office and talk with them about your situation. I think they are trying to screw you.

The Evo is one tuff car, and I think it is very well suited for drag racing. With the exception of the 03 cobra you won't see any mustang's or Camaros running 12's on the stock drive train. Hell my cousin went through 5 rear ends on his 95 z28 BEFORE it was supercharged. I've seen boxes of oblitrated spider gears from a 12 second mustang. The Evo takes 5-6K launches like a champ.
I COMPLETELY agree with you about paying for your own mistakes. If you blow something up YOU fix it.

Yes, I know people have broken down, every car does. The 99+ Cobras were dropping like flys. would you say they are not drag cars? then what makes a drag car? I guess a true drag car is one that rides in on a trailer? That's not for me. Be realistic, I don't think many stock cars out there that can run 1.80 60ft times launching at 6K without breaking, and the Evo can... at least for awhile

I know the car shines as a road racer, but that doesn't automatically mean it's not a good drag machine... in fact it's probably one of the only cars that can do both.

What's the relation between your bad rotors and other owners drag racing their Evos?

I thought it was innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the burden of proof on Mitsubishi Motors?

If you weren't racing your car, I'm sure with a few convincing phone calls to Mitsubishi's Corporate Office you could get your car fixed under warranty.

The brakes are ****ty anyways, why would you want to keep putting ****ty brakes on your car?

Man its everything. I called Mitsu motors and I know alot of people that work in Mitsu. Mitsu is looking @ these pages of Evolutionm.net and they are realizing that they could spend sooo much money fixing them. I am sad and mad because we are making EVO name like **** here in USA. We should be more responsible and I know that EVO can drag race but when it brakes dont take it to Mitsu to fix it. You broke it not them

I might be missing a lot on this site but I don't recall many people actually getting new clutches at Mitsubishi's expense.

Sorry to hear about your problems but I think you are drawing some pretty broad assumptions. I would have to believe that knew prior to bringing the Evo over that some were going to be abused. I feel for your frustration but I doubt that they are simply voiding warranties based on a few warranty disputes. Maybe the third will be a charm or try calling the main number.
