And for all the SST lovers, yes it's an automatic, you have no clutch pedal.
for all the people that call it an automatic, yes, you just showed your ignorance

Contact gruppe-s, and ask them about their clutch packages.

What ever makes you feel better.

I guess my old ladies Legacy is a manual as well, it has a regular old slush box but switches gears with the push of the shifter, same concept right? (please don't bore me with the differences between an SST auto and a regular auto, I already know them and was being facetious).I mean the car is switching gears without the use of a clutch pedal, I wonder if we could sell it as a manual?

Right from Road and Track, El Oh El.

Now what does Automated stand for? http://www.thefreedictionary.com/automated

Hmm, I guess I really am ignorant huh? Oh well, enjoy your Special edition X with the SST manual transmission when you get it. Ignorance and denial are bliss!

Im a noob and trying to learn, so please help me! MUCH APPRECIATED!

Thanks everyone!
Why would you want to spend $2100+ on a clutch that will stand up to twice the tourqe you transmission is able to handle? The 6 speeds are weak...

Does it have a torque converter? Just curious...

confirms your ignorance

to claim that a true dual clutch manual transmission with an automated mode is the same as a traditional automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a manual mode shows that you don't understand how either of them really work.

I never once made that claim, trying to add words that weren't there perhaps or are you just trying to rationalize? Look up facetious, maybe then my post will make sense because it seems like it went right over your head that I was in fact being facetious. The links I posted were in all seriousness though. Right from Road and Track but what do they know?

Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission - Road Test Data
If only all automatics were this good!
"Two transmissions are offered on the newest Lancer Evolution: a robust 5-speed manual that every race-car driver knows intimately, and an automatic — an electronically controlled clutch-type manual."

I guess you're right, Road and Track and Mitsubishi are wrong. We can just put this to rest like I already tried to in my last post, an SST is a manual transmission, or does it need the TC + SST to be considered a manual? loL
