Evo IX MR 6-Speed; Twin clutch????
I guess my old ladies Legacy is a manual as well, it has a regular old slush box but switches gears with the push of the shifter, same concept right? (please don't bore me with the differences between an SST auto and a regular auto, I already know them and was being facetious).I mean the car is switching gears without the use of a clutch pedal, I wonder if we could sell it as a manual?

Hmm, I guess I really am ignorant huh? Oh well, enjoy your Special edition X with the SST manual transmission when you get it. Ignorance and denial are bliss!

confirms your ignorance
to claim that a true dual clutch manual transmission with an automated mode is the same as a traditional automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a manual mode shows that you don't understand how either of them really work.

Look up facetious, maybe then my post will make sense because it seems like it went right over your head that I was in fact being facetious. Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission - Road Test Data
If only all automatics were this good!
"Two transmissions are offered on the newest Lancer Evolution: a robust 5-speed manual that every race-car driver knows intimately, and an automatic — an electronically controlled clutch-type manual."
I guess you're right, Road and Track and Mitsubishi are wrong. We can just put this to rest like I already tried to in my last post, an SST is a manual transmission, or does it need the TC + SST to be considered a manual? loL
