upstream O2 sensor

Ok....so I'm sure this topic has been brought up before, I'm just gonna try to ask for someones input. So the story is my upstream O2 sensor went out recently and I replaced it with the bosch universal sensor. My question is this, the color of the wires on the existing harnesss is differant from the bosch, I did some research and figured out what wire goes to what, the problem is when I orriginally installed it, I had the signal wire and the ground wire crossed. Would that short the sensor out? Because I got the wiring right now but my a/f mixture is still all crazy. Any advice? Oh btw I have an 03 GSR and the engine codes are P0130 and P0134.

stop being cheap and buy the sensor you need. and you just might have shorted you a/f sensor bosch sensors dont like to work to well on jap cars, get an oem denso sensor. theres a reason parts cost what they do cause they last. you get what you pay for.

Everything you just said is an opinion and not fact. Bosch are very good sensors for any type of car, they are one of the leading manufacturers in o2 sensors and make a lot of them for wide-band gauges. I had my front o2 go out on me and bought a Bosch universal and installed it and it went just fine. There is no need to go out and buy the direct replacement when you can pay $30 to do the same thing and have it work.
