i heard about the lock out issues with the act street light clutch, heres my take on it, im at 450 plus hp and 410tq to the wheels, i shift at 7800rpms and have an MR 06 evo, i never once got locked out but i do have all 4 motor mounts from torque solutions. I think because of these 4 motor mounts is the reason i've never been locked out. however my final road tune i shifted from 3rd to 4th gear without taking my foot off the accelerater cause my tuner had put some program in for me to test out and thats when ACT said goodbye to me. my mechanic said the actual clutch didnt take a dunp on me but the pull type was disengaged and the actual tiny piece thats broken cant be purchased. with my final build its going to be in my best intrest to just go ahead and upgrade the clutch.

i think it might be possible that he set the drop limit too low keeping your RPM too high for your shifting speed and the additional force caused the part to break just a guess. ive used tepha's no lift to shift and it just was not for me since i shift the same speed with or without it

Haha, I loved my stock clutch...

I have an ACT HDSS and yes, lockout at high RPM. But really, how often do I do that?

Shoot, depending on your power goals and driving style is what clutch you should buy.

Good luck
