I have an 06 evo 9 and it has been making this very strange noise whenever I stop. Basically what will happen is I will come to a stop regardless of speed, push in the clutch and wait at the light. After a second or so of being stopped it will make this strange "click click" noise. Its quiet, but loud enough for you to hear it in the cab. It does it MOST of the time I when I come to a stop, not all.

Also, one of the days I went to the track with it after my third run down the strip I was pulling off the track and I noticed it started making this god awful metal on metal scraping noise when I turned the wheel right. Very weird.

I searched on here but I couldnt find anything pertaining to these problems. Im hoping some of u guys can help shed some light on the answers. Thanks

my rotors and pads are pretty much spent. I dont have any mud flaps and my fenders should be ok when I installed my HID's I checked them out along with other things .

Sounds like it isn't the brakes at all, sounds like it's the axles and axle nuts tweaking slightly.

I first experienced this when I did my rear struts and sway bar. I swore I messed something up, I took off, put back on the rear sway bar two times and it still did it. It's loading the axles is all I can figure. If I put my car in reverse and as I'm rolling back put it in first and brake then go forward as I let out the clutch and the transmission engages and it starts to stop/go forward you hear this clicking/creaking. If I go first to reverse to first and "rock the car" back and forward it will happen constantly. I actually talked to a mechanic about it and he said to lock down the axle nuts tighter. I did it and it solved my problem but it keeps coming back, it's annoying

Definitely not my noise...not metallic. Doesn't sound like suspension or brakes, sounds like something in the car.
