I am sorry if it is a repeating post of some kind. I have already done searches on subjects about strange engine noises, but there's nothing that is similar to my case. Everyday when I back out from my parking spot, after I steer my steering wheel and I countersteer it to get out of the parking space, there is a weird metal clicking noise. (on the moment when I countersteer) I know evo makes a lot of strange noises but it is my first time driving an AWD vehicle thus I have no clue. Thanks for anybody who can share their experiences on similar cases. Thank you again. I picked up my car since March but I couldn't really recall when I started having this noise.

 

If it's just one click it might be the calipers or rotors which would be perfectly normal. Not sure though...

 

is it when you go from reverse and then start to go in 1st gear? mine does that every single time and my car is new. pretty sure its normal cuz i hear a click between shifts too if i drive slow, i've read on here that quite a few people have the same noises and nothing is really affected by it.

 

That sounds like it could be two noises to me. There is a safety feature or whatever it is called that installed the first time the car is fully engaged. It sounds like a click or a pop. Ive heard this happening in X's and 08+ lancers, 5-speed and Auto.

Ive also noticed a metal sound and I believe that is either the clutch or trans engaging.

I don't think it has anything to do with the steering as much as you finally starting to go.
