just curious too see what people think and say

I think it all depends on the availability of e85 to you. There is only one gas station that sells E85 in my town so I chose 50/50 water/meth because of the ease for me. I think it would be an additional stress worrying about E85 stations on a road trip also. You could always run dual maps, one for pump and one for E85 if you are using Tephra mods.

I am setting up my HSF-6 to switch to a safe pump only map with lower boost in the event of a clog. I have read that it only take 3 milliseconds to switch maps. Also it depends on what you are comfortable tuning with also. I would say that you should spend some times researching the pros and cons of each alternative fuel and then make an informed decision from there. Everyone has their opinion and there is no right or wrong to either choice.

No i dont. But if you have a buddy with a pickup truck, just order 4-55 gallon drums and youll be set. Also depends where you live tho, South Orange has the closest E85 to me, which is only 25 minutes or so away. So its not a huge deal for me.

You can also get a dual tune, and power on e85, and should u ever run out, a quick switch over to the 93, and just stay off the throttle untill u get filled back up.

They do, try searching on google. Being that E85 is cheaper then 93/89/87 youd be surprised how cheap it might actually be..

I have one 1.0mm and am ordering a second injector (0.4 or 0.5) tonight to complete the set up. The reason I am running one right now is because I was going to run direct port injection but then changed my mind and decided on a dual nozzle set up.

my favorite is all the guys in the mainland who are 20-30 miles away from an E85 station. Im glad you have the oppurtunity to do so vs. living in hawaii. So therefore im forced to run 50/50 water-meth. but my ? is to everyone, why do u think water meth is a bad idea?

I have a buschur racing double pumper fuel pump, and 1450cc injectors. FP black/ stock block. Do yourself a favor, order bigger injectors and save yourself the hassle of ordering them again later..

There are proper ways to set it up. I HAD every gizmo and gadget that Snowperformance offered. Flow gauge, fail safe, boost by-pass , warning lights etc... The problem is, theres no way with a single nozzle to control the flow of meth to each individual cylinder. Search for Mike @ AWD's thread on it. The meth isnt distributed equally. The only way to do it, would be to have 4 meth nozzles one in each intake runner. Theres a thread with someones setup on here like that.

Its just a huge hassle IMO. Then again, theres numerous people that will tell you that they have been running meth for years, with NO problems..

I personally like the corn much better!

I know a guy that runs meth on his Evo 8 and if he can't get any or afford it his car just sits until suppliers get it back in stock. E85 is much easier since you know they aren't going to run out of it because the gas stations get restocked often.

Yea thats the only thing I don't like about E. On E98 I have to start my car with starting fluid and on E85 it takes a few cranks.

I'm running FIC Bluemax 1450's on the stock turbo on E-85. IDC's are pretty low, mainly due to the lower fuel requirement at altitude but there is plenty of room to grow. I get the same gas mileage that I did on pump gas and it 2.29gal for E-85 and around 3.00gal for 91.
