I would take a ****in Kia over an S2k, I hate hondas and the f22c. It's garbage and makes dick for power imo, and I hear everyone now "Ohh it makes that power NA blah blah blah". SO does a damn 455, being NA isnt an excuss to make no power. Either boost it or stfu.

The last honda I raced talked all this ****, then when I smoked his *** (In my GTI mind you) he was like "Yeah well shes pretty fast for NA". If your gonna use NA as a ****in excuss for losing don't pick an NA platform. If I lost to a V8 I wouldnt say oh well you have 8 cylinders, just like he better not ***** I have a turbo if I win.
You do know that some cars are meant for doing things other than going in straight lines right? My uncles S2k has to be one of the most fun cars I've driven right out of the box.

I don't know what started your irrational hatred of honda's, but it makes you look rather stupid.

Lol @ the rotary love. The ONLY thing an FC is good for is swapping a v8 in it. And believe me for the money you'd dish out for a 20b, not to mention multiple rebuilds at that, you could have a badass v8 swap in one.

A LSX swap is what will be in order for the S2k I get anyway. I don't care about it being fast in a straight line that's not what I'm going for.

I don't really see your logic in hating on a S2k, esp when you had a fwd VAG before. But I could never own a fwd either, it's just a preference of what you're going for.

I bought the GTI cause I wanted a nice turbod car. I missed having a turbo when I got rid of my Talon and I had never driven a fwd car that made power...trust me never again. After the GTI I knew it was back to awd for me.

So because I hate hondas it's irrational? I dont have to like something sorry you think that makes me look stupid. Honda outta all the Japanese cars is the biggest POS company. THey have never made a fast car for sale to the public. Look at Mitsu, Toyota Mazda and Nissan. All had flag ship cars that are considered to be street legends. The Evo, Supra, Rx7 and Skyline. What has honda ever done? The NSX, a POS attempt at a supercar. Garbage.

All honda has done is flood the market with the civic which is just a pos and only became popular because it was cheap and ricers could get their hands on um.

There is no reason to like honda they have done nothing in terms of putting out a worthwhile product. And there are plenty of other cars that are fun on the twistys, including the ummm oh yeah Evo which can go fast straight also.

yup irrational. The NSX was heralded as a Ferrari killer upon its debut. A car anyone could drive to the limits, and still take it to work every day. I'm sorry that Honda hasn't lived up to your expectations but not every car company needs the adoration of idiot riceboys.

The civic was successful just as the Taurus was, it changed the econobox game. It's not Honda's fault that in the mid 90's the civic turned out to be every 16 year olds first car, that they eventually started tinkering with.

oh, and referring to it as "the twistys" further cements that you still have no idea what your are babbling about. Cars that fare well in autocross might get their asses handed to them on a road course, and might suck altogether at drifting. There are many kinds of "twistys" there bud.

Hmmm Ferrari killer huh? The Ferrari 348....Hard to beat a car with a 5.4 second 0-60 a d 13.4 second 1/4mi and with a price tag of only like what 100k? What a deal.

So I could buy a 20k honda or a 100k honda...Yeah Ill pass.

And the civic was an econobox just like the Taurus but unlike the Taurus it wasn't driven around by a bunch of idiots with neons and fart cannons. A group of individuals that would rather buy a crap aftermarket muffler then fix the side view mirror hanging off their door or have the damn quarter panel painted the same color as the rest of their car.

Hondas by a wide margin been responsible for ruining the credibility of Japanese cars as legitimate performance platform for years.

Your an idiot. Even if I had no reason at all I dont have to like something, I don't like Kias either. I suppose thats irrational.

Well, I'm not one to join in flame wars, but Hondas in general have really improved over the last few years. Look at their K20A engine that makes 260hp non turbo in stock form. Even if you don't like them, you can't say they're terrible cars. Super reliable. I have 2 94 civics in my driveway; one with 275,000 miles and one with 330,000 miles on their odo. My dad's and bro's cars, totally stock except the exhaust and the only reason they have ebay special exhausts is cause they rusted off and buying an ebay exhaust for $250 shipped was a whole lot better than the $500 quotes we got from the local exhaust shops for another stock muffler. (Yeah, shops around here suck) Anyway, I'm not denying that Honda's have been the catalyst for many abominations of automobiles in recent years, but I gotta give credit where credit is due.

While hondas are reliable most cars if properly maintained will last and go check what the top stolen cars in this country are. That is enough reason right there for me to pick something else.

I don't like hondas I really feel they have done more harm to our hobby then good, and Im sorry I am s outspoken about it sometimes I get this idea that I am on a Mitsubishi enthusiasts website...at least the honda guys have brand loyalty which is more then I can say for a lot of people around here.

If the brand loyalty jab was directed towards me, you're sadly mistaken my man. How many Mitsus have you had? I've had 7... consectutively. And I still have a full drivetrain to drop in something. You really shouldn't speak of brand loyalty when you've owned 2 Mitsus and bought a VW fwd in between.

Sure, this is a Mitsubishi enthusiasts website, but most rational people will respect a car, regardless of brand, that is a well built/capable car. You've had this snide attitude the whole time you've posted in this thread.

You can't blame the manufacturer for ricers ****ing the car up. Look at your beloved Mitsubishi, they make 1 car that is worth a damn, one that they jew you on warranty work if they even suspect any wrongdoing. Honda is in a hell of alot better shape financially than Mitsu so I'm sure they could give a **** less what people do with their cars as long as they buy them.

Actually the comment wasn't to you but if the shoe fits. And I have owned 4 cars 3 of which were mitsus, my 03 Lancer OZ Rally that I don't lidt because it wasnt a performance car.

I respect plenty of cars I dont like Porsches I dont like hondas and I appreciate exotics but would never own one. Just because I dont like certain cars doesn't mean I'm not an auto enthusiast. I dont have to like every car. Honda has done more bad then good so I do not like them. I dont expect to get flak for it on a Mitsu enthusiasts website thats were my comment came from.

And I got news for you a person that has gave 20 years to their country and then sells secrets to russia is still a traitor for the record.

And since honda is doing so well financially they are in a better spot then Mitsu is to make cutting edge cars. But they dont, they are a successful brand so thats that in their mind it seems.

First and foremost, GOD BLESS AMURRRICA. Seriously man, you wanna be THAT guy?! If that's the case then you should be embarassed for owning a Jap car that was built by descendants of people who killed our descendants in WW2. Made for a good laugh though.

If you were a true fan you would have had an awd dsm instead of the lancers if you couldn't afford an Evo, see how I use that back against you.

I don't care if you like something or not, that's your business, I don't see how you can't respect something that performs well though. Whatever makes you feel better I suppose. Breaking news alert for you, the entusiast crowd we're lumped into is peas compared to the overall car market. Honda concentrates on engines that are efficient n/a cars. It's not like you can't built one yourself to be what you want. I've owned nothing but turbo sports cars but I can respect the other side. Sure Mitsu built 1 badass car, they put a great proven drivetrain into a lancer chassis and turn into jews about warranty work. I can understand people that have done wrong, but I've also seen plenty of instances of denying work just becuase they think they can bully people around. I just call it like it is my man.

Actually the OZ Rally replaced an AWD TSI, the bell housing cracked and I couldnt afford to fix it as I had just replaced the head after the car skipped time. I needed a reliable DD to get to and from work at the time and I loved my lancer even though it wasn't fast. I do regret trading in the talon, wish I woulda kept it.

And while what honda makes may be good enough for the geneal public they dont make anything impressive, yeah their motors are efficient but in the enthusiast game MPGs come after ETs and HPs. And while there are some fast hondas...some very fast hondas that doesnt represent the majority. I dont liek hondas and if thats my business why are you commenting on it?

And the comment about the spy was because you talk all this talk about how you owned this and that but the fact remains you were getting rid of an Evo for an S2k which to me as a mitsubishi enthusiast and someone that hates hondas is just sacrilegious.
