So i ended up picking a intercooler up for really cheap. My question is this. How do I know if it's leaking or I guess loosing pressure? I noticed on the bottom of the intercooler it was crushed in a little bit from bottoming out. Would you notice by drivability ? I have it on my car now and everything feels good. I just want to make sure before I sell my stock one.

 

if everything is still running fine and you are still boosting the same you should be fine. Still on maf? If so you would notice a boost leak and the car not running right if the leak is decent. Do a boost leak test and feel around the intercooler. That would be the best way to tell.

 

Yeah still on maf seems to be driving the same. Everything actually feels better. Ok ill do a boost test see if that leads to anything.

It's a spearco. I just look at the bottom so I know there is nothing wrong with it. It's been holding boost well. I haven't had any probs was just curious if a dent in the botton would cause problems. lol

 

i bought a cheep one and it had a hole in the middle. you should do a presure test. it couldnt hurt

 

you can just test if its leaking, doesn't matter if its banged up on the bottom
