Odd noise only over 20 mph

I have done a search and didn't find an answer so here it goes. I expect this to be a serious long-shot that anyone else would know wtf I'm trying to find here, but due to the nature of how this noise is produced it's been a pita to locate teh source/ problem.

In the past 1K miles I have a strange noise coming from my car. It occurs only when driving over 20 mph. It's difficult to describe...t's as if there's a window slightly cracked and there's an air leak in the cabin, like a whirling/ windy noise. It's pretty faint and tough to determine where it's coming from since i have a 3.5" APS TBE. I'm thinking it may be a pully noise, but how would that occur only after 20 mph. Also, it occasionly will stop and start again. It is independent of throttle position, gear selection, in boost or vacume.

Although it may be totally unrelated, the I first noticed it on a 400 mile highway trip that was during mixed weather of sunny and clear to some serious pouring rain. Anyone else experienced this sort of noise? If so, what was/ were the remedy/ remedies?

IDK if I'll be able to capture the sound over the road noise, but I'll give it a shot. (I think i just made a film pun. )

Does it sound like old air rushing through old weatherstripping causing a high pitch wind noise. I had that same noise and it was my transfer case. It may not be your issue but its worth checking out.

Yeah, that's kinda what it sounds like. I sure hope that's not the case for me. (oh so punny) No really...I hope it's not!

Not at all. It was just new noise that started on that trip.
