And I managed to find some Phillips OEM replacement bulbs for cheap. Don't know what bulbs are in my car now but they sure lasted me 1 1/2 years.
Did you replace them a year and half ago? or was that when you purchased the car? HID's are supposed to last a lot longer then that. I'm not sure what the Mitsubishi originally put in the car, but I'm going to guess they aren't an off brand. However many other cars use the same HID bulb. D2S I think is whats in there. So that gives you a wide selection of forums to browse through if you wanted to save a little money and go with oem quality, but at a used price.
Whats the deal with the stock HID bulbs? Do they have the same style wiring connections as aftermarket bulbs?
A headlight bulb on my GFs Evo 9 MR turned purple and Id like to get a replacement bulb - what should I do? Thanks

I found out the socket pattern is D2S, which means you can pretty much use any bulb that is D2S on the Evo.
I got this to replace the worn one out.

It currently has a yellow shade but I've been reading up on it and the yellow will go away around 6 months of usage. Would suggest buying 2 so that both sides will be brand new and same color.
