almost every used car that is sold has been to auction at one time or more in its life. when a car is traded in at a new car store most likely they bring it to auction unless they can certify it and put it in their used inventory. the general public is under the assumption that auction cars are at auction for a reason but this is false... of course yes, there are many cars with problems at auction but also many clean cars with no problems

well I got the car together finally so that it is drivable. I think that it had a tune on it before so I'm going to have to get it tuned. It idles a little rough. So far I put 30 gentle miles on it and no cel or major problems other than no reverse which I knew about and slight grind going into 5th gear. Clutch is good, by looking through the inspection hole it appears to be an ACT clutch.

Nice Evo though. Looking good
Hmm... getting a tune with the factory exhaust on... seems like a waste of money, unless you wanted a completely stock car with a better than factory tune. Probably couldve found a used Megan tbe or something from Ebay. I know you want it up and running, but somethings are probably cheaper to go ahead and upgrade instead of paying for something twice.
