E85 Prices WTF!!!

They have it on the Naval base in Washington? Sweet! Thats one of my picks to be stationed after A school. Sucks the price is going up though. Is it to the point that e-85 really isn't much better than buying 91-93 octane? Meaning even though the gas mileage on E-85 was worse the price justified it. It seems like E-85 may just move as a cheaper alternative to race gas for the time being...

I doubt you'll be able to buy it. My guess is that it will completely go away since it will be unaffordable.

Youll always be able to buy it even at 15.00 a gallon it just wont be at local gas stations.. private companies will sell it.. quite honestly ill make it myself if i have to..

Ya almost every navy base in the US now has E85 because all the government cars are Flexfuel. So no matter where you get stationed you will more than likely have E85. Just check around

Its here, but certainly not worth it for many of us to use as a DD. Unless you in the select areas that have it available.

Actually your in San Diego, it IS available there.

Except for Jacksonville... However there is a station 5 miles from base...

last i checked, there were not many stations around.... i live in the inland empire, and i have 3 stations within 30 miles.. pretty much forming a triangle around me.... i just go with my car and 6 vp fuel jugs, and fill them all up to make the trip worth my while (although i havnt since they went to winter blend, dont wanna chance grenading my motor just yet ) ill wait until summer

Hmmm, so me buying it for 2.70 wasnt too bad a deal. We have a new supplier for E98 that finally got us a good deal, only 2.80.
