ACD Lights: Fault Code 82
ACD Lights: Fault Code 82
I'm posting this to aid others with ACD light fault code.
I had the fault lights come on and off a few times, it was not so consistent. 90% of the time it wouldn't work, and than eventually it was 100% but that was over the coarse of a few months.
By jumping pins #1 and #4 on the OBD harness you can bring up the fault code. The ACD lights will blink in sequence, in my case 8 blinks, pause, and than 2 blinks indicating fault code 82.
This is an ACD pump code. Keep in mind this does not mean 100% it is your actual pump, but it does mean you have a pump unit issue.
In my case my pump was fine, you could hear it at initial start up... or when you hold the throttle as you key on to activate the pump, every time the pump would turn on.
With all the info I found on EvoM indicated the pump is burnt and wouldn't work, but I could still hear it so I finally went to the dealer to understand the condition.
Turns out the pump was fine but the internal valves in the unit were not activating. This was the description given by the tech, and the entire unit was replaced under warranty $2000 for the unit $250 in labor.
Just wanted to post some solid info about fault code 82

Thanks, I didn't know how to read the codes since my lights come on mainly only when it's real cold out.
As in pin #1 and 4 you mean starting in the top left corner of the obd2 connection correct?
