Project Pikachu, on the way to Texas and the 200MPH CLUB!
Well, Douglas Autoworks/Mike Reichen is (I think) still the record holder for fastest standing mile Evo (an Evo 2). Their website (douglasautoworks.com) doesn't have any tech articles on their standing mile work...just videos of some runs, which should be pretty inspiring to you and your team. I'm sure they could throw u a bone if u end up stumped along along the way...hope it all works out for you!! Good luck..

We are trying to get in touch with people who have done it, i've been lurking the land speed forums. As far as aerodynamics, we have someone who is of MUCH help for that. We are looking into the cage currently, have any tips on who could help out with a cage? Either a local place that could weld one up for us, or a company who produces one that that we can order and weld in ourselves.
As for drivetrain and engine.....we will be posting info on that shortly.

If you are looking for a nice cage builder who is decently local to TMW.. I would go to Farks. http://www.farkssupercars.com/

As for the trans, the stock gear ratios will work, since we will be spinning the motor quite high.
Where are yall staying at those three days? Reason i ask is because im from Victoria, which is not too far from the TX mile and its a moderately sized city. AMS stayed here in October.
No idea yet haha. We will probably find some shady cave in the desert...haha. We will figure something out.
