Good luck! What's your plan for the transmission btw? No stock gearing from our trannies can even begin to touch 200, can it?

Well, Douglas Autoworks/Mike Reichen is (I think) still the record holder for fastest standing mile Evo (an Evo 2). Their website (douglasautoworks.com) doesn't have any tech articles on their standing mile work...just videos of some runs, which should be pretty inspiring to you and your team. I'm sure they could throw u a bone if u end up stumped along along the way...hope it all works out for you!! Good luck..

Either a local place that could weld one up for us, or a company who produces one that that we can order and weld in ourselves.

As for drivetrain and engine.....we will be posting info on that shortly.
i look forward to seeing this thing go. good luck man!
If you are looking for a nice cage builder who is decently local to TMW.. I would go to Farks. http://www.farkssupercars.com/
Great work i forget his name but he is great family friends with a close friend of mine.. He did a buddy of mines 9 second rx-7 (ls1 swap). wish i had pics to show you, but the work is amazing. and he wont break the bank either..
If you're really interested i could talk to my friend and get you more info

That would be fantastic if you could get more info for me!

As for the trans, the stock gear ratios will work, since we will be spinning the motor quite high.

I'm sure I will be taking you up on a lot of this! Have any tips to offer in general. About prep, design, driving, anything.
