Holy crap. Lol

Yeah sounds like a faulty ignition switch. Has someone tried stealing the car old-school style recently?

Do you have a Turbo Timer on the car? Check that...

If not turbo timer. check the harness in the lower left kick panel. Search for electrical gremlins on here. Youll find a writeup about the harness being corroded from a seal tha leaks water from the wheelwell down to the harness.

Mine was corroded in my 03, car wouldnt shut off one day, no turbo timer installed.

This happens to me everytime then i realized what the problem was... If you have a Aftermarket subwoofer with amp and you have a capacitor that would be why your car is still running.

Even when i TAKE OUT my battery the car's Electronics are still running for 15min because of the capacitor.. Kinda cool. The purpose is too store power... and it works.

Sounds kinda SCARY to me that a capacitor can keep the car running!!! Just my 2 cent!

Then something wasn't hooked up right because my CAP doesn't keep my car running!

im really thinking its gonna be the bad wire harness, it wouldnt be the first time iv had harness problems.
my 85 toyota 4Runner had a bad motor harness, swapped it with a 91s and she now runs better then ever.

thats a lot of wiring to do..not looking forward to that..

I had exact same problem, yes as stated above it's the electrical gremlins. Fix that harness, took my awhile after following those directions, but well worth it.
Good luck
