Good quality mods?
If everything is as clean as you say and everything checks out on the car, I would say getting it for anything less than 25k is a really good deal. That will be a very fun ride with the current mods. Good luck and hopefully you will have the pleasure of owning an evo in the near future!
But ill be bringing it back in to Ivey or someone else, havent decided yet. Because he said hes going to get it re tuned if i want him to swap the wastegate dump out for a conventional DP. So ill be there if its getting tuned.
Ivey has an excellent reputation. I can recommend STM, but they're quite a long drive from where you are.
If the car checks out, it is obviously currently in good condition, but how long it stays this way is based heavily on how aggressive or dangerous the tune is. Definitely have someone (doesn't have to be a tuning shop though that can't hurt...just someone that has tuned before and knows the difference between an agressive tune and a concervative one) take a look at some logs. Not that the owner is lying, but it is difficult to fully trust someone selling a car telling you the tune is conservative, because him telling you otherwise isn't going to help his sale.
I don't know Ivey personally, but from being around these boards for a while I know he has a very good reputation. I am sure the tune is great, but it never hurts to get it double checked.
And to answer your question- with the modifications listed on the car, the engine and drivetrain only having 25k, and the tune being somewhat conservative, this car should be very reliable as long as you take care of it and stay up on maintence (fluids, plugs, etc.)
I actually work at akuma and if you need any specific info you can pm me. To stay on topic, any modified car for sale needs to have the basics done.. In my opinion that is compression/ leakdown, complete visual inspection, and a proper "smoke" or boost leak test.
A car that is tuned is always in question too. Unless you have proof of the exact state of the car during the tune, how can you be sure the owner hasn't removed items that will affect the state of the tune. Find a shop that you trust and have them take a look at your map and make sure at the very least it's safe to be boosting around!
