"I own an 2006 evolution IX MR the car is pretty quick but i raced my friend while he was driving my other car which is a dodge caliber manual 5 speed transmission with 153 hp!!!!! my friend put the caliber in 5 gear and i put my evo into 6th gear and we drove for atleast a mile and he took me right off the line. so the evo is useless without its turbo. dont get me wrong i like this car a lot etc.... but a car that doesnt use a turbo responds more better. thanks for reading."

hahaha what is the point of this? Someone who obviously doesn't understand performance vs. gear ratio etc.......

 

People like him does not deserve to own an Evo. He's better off selling it and getting a pos caliber. He clearly knows nothing at all.

 

Clearly he has to put it in R, for race!

 

Someone needs to show that kid how to brake boost his Evo if he's going to roll race. Regardless of the stupidity of the race...I doubt his Caliber would win if I were driving the Evo.

 

No self-respecting human being "races" someone in their cruise gear. Of course the turbo isn't going to spool quickly in that gear. They need to sell that MR to someone who actually deserves it. Dodge Caliber, pfff... what a sh*t wagon. Not even the same ballpark, or sport for that matter.

Comfort:
2 out of 5 - I think the Recaro's are quite nice. Fluffy heated seats are for old people and luxury vehicles.
Performance:
1 out of 5 - You've got to be effin kidding me, right? Maybe if your racing someone in your cruise gear.
Handling:
3 out of 5 - Again, wtf?
Reliability:
3 out of 5 - This soley depends on how good the owner takes care of the car. Anything is reliable as long as you take care of it.

 

Actually this kind of same test was done in a Top Gear episode. They made the exact same point about the Evo being slow in those conditions. I'll try to find the video.

Evo is a damn great car though

 

^ It's pointless to even race in a cruise gear though you know. haha! People make stupid claims of beating this beating that car in this gear blah blah blah. Street racing is ridiculous.
