difference in seat belts throughout the years
difference in seat belts throughout the years
I'm not sure which section this would go in, but this looks like the most likely spot.
Anyway, I am in the process of fixing my car. It was in an accident back in december and the only part that I need still are the two front seat belts.
New, from the dealer, they are $440/ea. My question is, would seat belts (w/ tensioners) work from an '03-05 in my '06? I have found '03-05 ones on ebay for dirt cheap and i'm trying to save some money.

I'm guessing they would be the same but call the dealer and ask for the part numbers.
BTW, used belts are out of wrecks. And, like a mountain climber's rope which, when it stops one fall is shot, seat belts are good for one wreck.

The dealer wants $480/each. I found an auction for used ones on ebay for $125, so I went with them. I called the place today and they told me that they were not out of a car that had the airbags deployed. The seat belts still work and the tensioners are not locked up.
