Replace clutch before tune?

i live on a hill and have no problem in the morning going up it... i must just not know how to launch... haha but i am not sure if the clutch was ever replaced and my car has 55k so would it be possible its still original?

Absolutely replace it before the tune! Get an idea of how much power/torque you will be making you can then buy a clutch appropriate for that power range.

Okay now that its getting closer to spring over here in MN and im about to bring the evo out... i was curious on this question...

i already know now that i should replace the clutch before the tune.... but should i be breaking in the clutch before i tune the car?

The shop that im having do the clutch replace also has a AWD dyno and i was curious if i should wait a few thousand miles before i go for the tune...?

How many miles is recommended for you to drive on a new clutch to break it in? I was told 3,000. But i dont even drive my car that much in one summer.

I'd try to put at least 1000 on there, but that's just me.

IT is very Necessary to replace your clutch before the tune. How else do you think the tuner will be able to get a good read from your car?????

i always break in for 1k just to be overly safe.
