I'm going to start this thread off fist by saying i do not post on forums all that much and not sure where to post this. Second i work on evo a lot at local tuning shop and we are at a stand still as to the problem i am having with my car.

When you turn the key on the car the Starter will click and then the car looses all electrical power until you pull the negative terminal off the battery then what ever is tripping is reset. Problem continues.

I have access to a lot of evo parts from a local shop that i know the owner.

I have tried new batteries. Checked all the fuses. Tried a different ignition switch. Have tried a different starter. Any new suggestions are welcome.

Please do not respond with retarded solutions such as check battery terminals and such.

 

check your plug on your left side panel to see if they corroded

 

We are having similar issues with one of our company vehicles. Turn the key a click then nothing, but when we turn the key back it trys again until it eventually starts but I believe our problem is the ignition switch. I would keep looking into the ignition part of it and wiring.

 

i would venture to say there is something wrong with the ignition switch. i had a similar issue and ended up replacing it and worked fine afterwards.
