Turbo Life

How long do turbos last? I just want to know the average life of performance turbos and factory turbos?

super vague. it all depends on how well you maintain your vehicle, mods, boost over stock that you run, and a number of other variables. heard of turbos going after 90k miles, then others who are putting close to 200k on their car on stock turbo with no issues.

Stock 8 turbo with 116k and still going. I'm sure there's some here with more than that.

It looks like the factory turbo is pretty dependable. What about the mileage on the aftermarket turbos?

constant boost and lock of proper lubrication is what kills the turbo.

Stock turbo last long as long as you don't push them too hard.

the evo8 and evo9 turbos generally have a very long life long long as you arent doing insane 30psi+meth/race gas that some guys do. its very common for most evo turbos to punch 100k if its street driven.

if you do mostly mid 20's psi, keep up with maintenance and do boost leak test once in blue moon, your turbo may last the life of your car.

longevity is awesome compared to audi or supra turbos that are ticking timebombs ready to blow @ higher mileages

I've never heard of a BBK-F, only Lite, Full, or -B. Do tell. Wait, I'm an idiot. You meant "Full" didn't you. (face palm)
