Anticipation of First Time Driving my Car Killing Me.
So in about 15+ hours or so i finally get to drive my car for the first time. Here is the car. I write this while waiting at Incheon Int'l Airport in South Korea.

I purchased the car back in November without ever driving or riding in an Evo. Just new that I wanted one. I'm in the Army over in Korea. Have been here the last 3 years. Got a hell of a deal on my Evo. Paid $17.5k with mods in my garage, minus, JDM Tails, Rexpeed wing. I have CF Rear Bumper Extensions, JDM Side Markers, CF RA Style Front lip, that will be put on in the next couple days when i get home. Friday will be going to English Racing to get a tune and hope to be in the 400/400 club. If anything goal of 400whp. My first meet will this Saturday with the NW Evo folks in Washington!! Can't wait to meet people and finally know what is like to drive and EVO!

I bought mine new without driving or riding in one either. No regrets whatsoever. Hard part for me was breaking it in before I was able to feel the full power
. You should be happy with your purchase. Have fun

Good looking MR, Man.
I totally understand about the anticipation of your first drive. I still remember my first drive ( totally stock and quiet...yet still rocked as it was my first turbo car).
I still get that feeling when I deploy (which is a whole 'nuther can of worms when, because you buy tons of mods while in the desert!). Even if it's only been a couple of months (waiting for mine to get to me in Germany) the first drive is almost a virgin voyage again. I figure any longer than about 2 weeks without driving my Evo get's me all giddy inside on the initial drive.
Hopefully the wait won't be much longer, Steve. I hope the wait is worth it for you.

Ps. How much longer are you going to be in the ROK?

Got 1 month of leave. Then heading to Flight Medic School at Ft Rucker, AL. Next Duty station is Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA
dont forget the driver mod....... You dont want to wreck your very powerful new (to you) car while your popping her cherry!
I say this as a fellow WA resident. Roads are wet/damp 85% of the year and thats alot of power to the ground if your not used to it. I reccomend you read into proper throttle application while cornering in a AWD car like the evo so you dont make any rookie mistakes like slam on the brakes or lift and go *** backwards into any guardrails.
althought the drive From Seattle to English is pretty much just I-90, straight as a whistle, there are plenty of cops along the way just dying to greet you and make friends with your wallet.
Hope to meet you while your here!
