Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have a few noobie questions about this. I am far from a dyno or any sort of place to tune. my friend has a tactrix cable and the laptop. I am wondering if I can download a stock tune. also i have a APS duel vent BOV as far as aftermarket goes. is the stock tune good enough? how and where does this way of tuning work? and finally what kind of prices am i looking at for this?

 

Yes you can. You plug in the tactrix cable to your OBDII port. Your friend opens the program ECUflash on his laptop, and you can download the rom image from the car. If it's stock, that will give you the stock tune from the car. Or you can download it here at the top of the page:

make sure you change the immobilizer code to yours in the rom first...
