Ive been having this weird sound coming from the pulley side of the motor. At first i thought it was a belt squeal and now the more and more i listen to it it doesn't sound like that.....

It almost sounds like a metal squeal maybe? One of the pulleys are bad. or alternator?

When i drive the sound doesn't get any louder or go away it seems to stay the same

Def heard it better when you were up near the alternator. Maybe the bearing in it going out.

 

Sounds like a pulley, tensioner squeal to me... my old *** ford beater makes that identical sound and that is what is wrong with it.

 

If you pick up a mechanics stethoscope, you can narrow down on wierd sounds really fast. Best $15 I ever spent, except when it told me that my power steering pump is on its way out..

I had a similar sound, but I replaced all my belts/pulleys. Ended up being the alternator
