Noisy blower when heat on auto
Has anyone ever had this issue? If it's around 32 degrees or below and until the car is fully warmed up there's a squealing sound that seems to come from the blower but only when it's on auto. If I put it on any other manual setting it goes away. It doesn't seem to affect the heat or anything but it's just annoying to hear it squealing for 25 mins or so every morning on my way to work. If anything I'll bring it in to see of they can cover it under warranty.

Your blower motor is getting tired. If you have a warranty use it. Be sure to drop off the night before so they can experience the noise for themselves in the morning. When its on high speed does it rumble at all like a washing machine out of balance?

Related to your rpm? As u step on the brakes your rpm drops. I have a 2008 GTS that does this for the past couple of winter but when warmed up, it's fine. When I leave it warming up in the morning it's loud as well but when I step on it, it goes away. Not sure about why just on the auto setting though.

I have an X and my blower hums somewhat loudly if I have the heat past 75 whether it's on auto or not. Bumps and quick acceleration seem to cause it. I bought the car used and the filter was clogged beyond belief. I think that the motor might be close to wearing out but I don't know for sure.
